Hello from Connecticut!
Hello everyone!
I found this forum via Google search and it looked promising. Here's some info about me:
Name: Jeff
Age: 32
Location: Newtown, CT
Ride: 2007 CBR600RR

I started riding the summer of 2013 right after my wife decided we HAD to have a second child. I bought a 1997 Suzuki Katana to learn on. I taught myself how to ride from various self-starter Youtube videos. I practiced for a few weeks with a permit before I took the MSF course, then got my license. I rode the crap out of that thing all summer and decided it was time for an upgrade. I picked up my '07 CBR600RR, code-name: Chile, in September of 2013 and I'm officially hooked.
I'm learning the in's and out's of the motorcycle community and I'm also learning how to do some of my own basic maintenance, which is what lead me to these forums.
If anyone lives near me in Western Connecticut or "Downstate" New York, hit me up and we can ride.

Thanks. I see you're from the area of Boon Island? I grew up on a lake in Poland Spring and my parents still live there. Small world!
It's good, a lot more aggressive, but I enjoy it. It was a comfortable transition because I had the balance practice from the Katana instead of a typical cruiser. Also, the 07+ 600RR's have a slightly elevated handlebar setup. It's only like 10mm, but everything I read said it made a huge difference in rider comfort. I did a TON of research before I picked up the RR and I'm very happy with the decision. It's going to be a fantastic summer!
