Been riding scooters since 1980, I've got about 80k under my boots, to date. Just come off a 11 year run of no bikes. Got rear-ended and hurt so couldn't ride, had to use the insurance money to buy a 'roller-skate'.
Then it became a money issue, new roof, new hvac, ya'll get the picture, lol. Finally, after 2 years of stuffing my piggie bank, voila!
I finally got me a 98 CBR600F3, the day after Thanksgiving. Solid engine and frame, but no love on the plastics, lots of details missing (cowl stay covers, chain gaurd, etc.).
Dumped the ugly stalks on the front and put on some ninja500 cruise lights, added a givi trunk (to make the wife happy) went to black/silver rattlecan finish and a re-build of all the basics (brakes, fork seals, chain/sproket, etc)
2 months later, I'm on the way to a decent little sport/tourer.
In my internet cruising, came across this site. I do a lot of BBS's and must say, "This one rocks!" Ya'll seem to have a pretty good handle on the 'scooter scene'.
Got a few tips on getting there from these hallowed halls, so a general thanks is in order.

A fellow Okie! And with the same exact bike as me, except yours looks better lol. I'm new here too, so I suppose I'll be seein you around.
