A good reason to ride...
Hello everyone,
I am new to these forums, and recently a new rider. I just bought myself a new 07 CBR600RR. I have always wanted to ride, but it seemed that life had always found other priorities. This year I finally found a reason to just go out, buy a bike and learn how to ride ( not that many people need to find a reason, but I have 3 small kids and a wife who wasreluctant at first, but in the endvery sweet to support my new hobby
The Company I work for is hosting a 3 day charity bike ride accross the provice to raise money for the "Make a child smile" foundation. It is an organization who sponsors terminally ill children to make their last wishes come true. I am happy to say that I will be participating in the ride
I have been trolling the forums here for a while, and have found alot of very interesting information and advice, and being a new rider I have enrolled in a beginers course and you can all rest assured that I have all the proper gear
The one thing I havent found alot of advice on is long multi-day camping road trips for newbs like myself...any pointers?
Its great to be a rider, The fellowship is more thanI imagined it would be.... only onequestion remains, "Why the heck did I wait so long to buy a bike?!?!"
cheers.

Hello and welcome.Congratulations on the new bike, and a beautifull bike at that. I have driven through the rockies a couple of times, but can only imagine how great it would be to ride through on a bike. Enjoy yourself and remember to ride at a comfortable pace.
Congrats on the new bike and glad you have joined us on the forum.
Myself, along with many other forum membershave a supportive wife and kids.
My priorities everytime I ride is to makeithome safely.
Ride safe and have fun.

welcome and congrats on the new bike but the only advice i can think of is that if ur going with other riders who have more experience dont try to keep up if u start to feel uncomfotable just always ride at ur own pace and dont try to push it
Welcome! As far as tips on long road trips, I would look up one of the members named "Thirdgenlxi". He has put some serious miles on his motorcycle, and bet he would have a lot of good info to help you out. Also, you might use the "search" function, and see if there have been some other posts with additional info on the topic. Glad you're here.
