I just got news that A SUzuki GSXR 1000 05 broke into 2 at the main frame from a low speed accident with a moped yesterday!!!

God..I can't believe it!! Here's the low side of having the lightest litre class superbike..they shortchanged where it all matters; the frame!!

A friend of mine who's a mechanic took a look at the broken frame and found that the frame is too hollow..no wonder they are freakin light!

So anyone there who still think dat Suzuki builds quality bikes..better think again. Imagine going for a trackday and u crashed; Its like a single ticket with no return to the scrap yard..

By the way..its not the first time I heard of a cracked K5 frame..there's one poor chap who pushed hard on his gixxer during one trackday only to find out that the engine mounting tab had cracked..

I've crashed 3 times on the track and flipped my bike while wheelie-ing(something I'm nt proud of) and still the CBR 1000 RR is in 1 piece..

Hence I would like to conclude fellow Honda owners..Ride Quality Ride Honda!!!

I saw the poor GSXR today..Gosh, terrible!! People who didn't know what happen might think dat the bike had a head-on collision and the rider dead or at least in coma..The bike is mangled!!

Well the moped was there at the same shop too!! Guess what..the moped just suffered a bent rear rim!!

 

I sure am glad I fell in love with my 04cbr 1k After I left the Suzuki dalership.
All my buddies used to say honda sucks. Go gixxer or kawy they all got more power!
Yeah honda might not have the extra ponnys but thats OK because none of my buddies can catch up with me in the twisties.

Rather have a safe bike any day. In which, it can take a beatin and still look at you and say
"IS THAT ALL YOU GOT" .than have the extra ponnys.

ponnys can allways be added. Safety and control in riding is a different story.

hp can be added any time..

I've said before in other post..there's a reason for Honda having HRC on their wing.
