Default Glad to be here

Hello fellow two wheel fanatics!
This is the first forum or anything like this that I have done on a computer. I am a veteran motocrosser but have been getting less & less time to do that as much as I would like. I am a diehard Honda guy so last summer I found a super clean '94 CBR900RR. It is a blast! I'd like to take some basic riding classes & hopefully do a track day with it at some point.
I do have one problem though. Even though this bike looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor, it has an electrical issue. Everything is fine for highway riding but as soon as I get in town or in any stop & go situations the battery goes dead. I plan to get a service manual for it but does anyone have any suggestions for now? It has 21,xxx mi on it. Thanks for any help!

Check the Regulator/Rectifier and it's connector. Look for any sign of heat. i.e. burnt
pins, melted/warped plastic, burnt insulation. Honda coose a cheap OEM R/R
and they are a common issue.

By the way here's a micro-fiche of your bike, it's a comprhensive part list...

Here's your harness, part #12 is the r/r....

We're glad you're here too! :-) Welcome aboard.

Congrats on your new-to-you bike. Hope you get the issue sorted quickly w/o too much trouble.

Good idea on taking instruction. Many of us here recommend the MSF Course...www.msf-usa-org.
