Default G'Day from Downunder

G'Day Guys,

As the title says I'm from Australia (Victoria) and have recently purchased a project bike a 1988 CBR1000F.
She needs a bit of TLC but we will get there with some time, money and cursing.
Looking forward to communicating with some of you as the weeks/years go by.
Have been on motorcycle for around 35 years.
Had a:
VT500E
VF750S
VF1000 F2 Bol D'or
got:
Kawasaki GTR 1000 (2000)

So, what else is there to say, look after yourselves and ride Safe !

Thanks fword, looking forward to getting started looking at changing the paint work to a Rothmans style, will see how we go. Checking heart, liver and lungs first.
Cheers,

Looks good, I’m down on the Mornington Peninsula building up a 2001 CBR929RR- my first Honda, and it’s heading to the track.

Nice work, be good when the Island opens again. This is my first real attempt to do something from scratch. Hope all goes well and not much cursing.
Ride Safe.

Swearing is all part of the business lol
I’ve restored a couple of Suzuki Gsx750SF Katanas over the years, the pop up headlight model, I’ve got one in the shed waiting for me to be done with this trackbike

i have days booked at Broadford and PI, just waiting for the lockdowns to allow me to attend

G'Day, The Katana was a bike everybody wanted then, beautiful design, not so keen. Bloody lock down doesn't make things easy. You realise how easy it was to jump in the car and pick up parts etc.....not anymore.
