Default Back on the saddle

Hi all

I am not a new rider. Back in the 1980s, I had a 1982 Honda Ascot 500, 1984 750 Nighthawk S, 1987 Honda Hurricane 1000, and a 1990 CBR1000F. My annual mileage was around 15 to 20K.

The CBR1000F I had, was purchased after a trip in Europe and witnessing a German couple in the South of France on the CBR1000F with hard cases. Sold it two years later when my son was born. Now my son is 17 and after 15 years racing BMW cars and instructing how to race them, I want to get that same 1990 CBR1000F as it was an exceptional touring bike.

I'll be looking for a low mileage white, red and blue CBR1000F, possibly with Givi racks.

Welcome Lee, won't argue with you about the CBR1000f at all . Hey stop by the 1000F section and say Hi .....

Hello and Welcome. Yes the 1000 is a great bike for touring very comfy. You can still find the Givi equipment for that year HERE.

Welcome to CBRF and good luck on finding the 1000F you want!! The 1000F guys arguably have the most fun in here and I'm sure you will fit right in.

Enjoy the forums Lee!

Welcome, Lee!
Like the others have said, we have a great 1000F section here. Stop by and say hello in the Saloon.
Depending on where you live, someone there can probably point you in the right direction to get the bike you're looking for. If not, we'll sure try. I almost bought a red/white/blue '90 before I bought my black/yellow '95. A buddy ended up with the '90. Not really sure what he did with that bike...
Anyway..... enjoy the forum, man!

Thanks everyone for that very warm welcome. I hesitatetd for months between a CBRF and a BMW K100RS 16v, and remembering how better the Honda felt against the other Katanas, Concours and FJs, I had to have tat same CBRF I had back in the days. And in the same white, red and blue livery. That thing handled like on a rail.

Will watch the CBRF thread often.

Thanks again.

Lee
