Frustration
Ok I had surgery early January and now I wont be able to ride or anything til middle of May. We have had warm spots and I have seen people out riding. Its just not fair, I didnt think it was gonna take that long for a shoulder to heal and for rehab. I have to get the other one done too but Im waiting til next winter. Its so depressing. So now Im just buying stuff for it and when it gets warmer I will be adding the mods. Its all I can do.

RE: Frustration
Bad snowboarding accident 5 years ago, Dr's said "it just takes time to heal" Well I think this was a long time so I went to see a ortho surgeon. MRI's done and I have torn the cartilage off my humerus bone (upper arm bone) that fits into the socket on both shoulders (SLAP tear). When I went into surgery they fixed that but also saw that my shoulder bone on top was curved where it was supposed to be straight so he shaved my shoulder down until it didnt hit my arm and then he also fixed up my rotator cuff where it was frayed and stuff but not torn. A rotor rooter of sorts. It felt great 3 days after surgery he did it by scope and I have my days here and there of pain but way better than before. Im in a sling for 10 weeks and then start rehab that he said will take 2-3 months. I know I should thank my lucky stars and I do. Im just bummed.

RE: Frustration
The SLAP tear is a bitch! I've known a couple peeps with that and it takes time and therapy. The bone grinding you had is what I had -- type 3 something or other with significant bone-on-bone contact. Hell, I couldn't remember it all 5 minutes after he told me I sure can't remember it now Anyway it does eventually get better.

RE: Frustration
I do know where your coming from. When I got into my accident, I couldn't ride and I was a little jealous that the biscuit was out riding around, while my bike sat at Honda.....but like I said there's always worse and your here, like I'm here and the biscuit is here to talk about it.
