Default Front end coming up

ok so i don't have much experience in riding sport bikes so i thought i would ask this question, yes i am sure it will sound really dumb to some of you guys who have been riding for years but i thought i would ask it anyways, so lets say i am riding along ( In Second Gear ) and i just feel the need for speed now if i were just to give it hell would the front end come up off the ground and would i lose control? now the bike would either be a 07 cbr600rr or 07 cbr f4i and it will for surely have a slip-on exhaust pipe. sorry if this is a dumb question.

Depends on your size, I'm 200 pounds, in 2nd gear with just throttle I don't think the bike will loop at any RPM (someone correct me if I am wrong). Besides, you will learn not to 'snap' open the throttle, you'll 'roll' it and that will keep you out of trouble. Also, with a 600 you will need to be in the powerband for things to happen really fast in second gear, but honestly, I have never ridden at 70 mph in 2nd and just snapped open the throttle to see what trouble I could get into. Other than that a cbr 600 RR is less prone to wheelie than the F4i so maybe that will help in your choice. Aside from the sound, a slip on won't really be noticable without proper tuning and then even then maybe only a little.

2007 will not have F4i's anymore dude!

WElcome...if you throttle it back in second it may come up a little, maybe a inch or nothing at all, which is the likely case.

Maybe study into how motorcycles work, from Engines, Frame and Suspension, Handling and Tires. You would not fly an airplane without first knowing how everything works would you. Sounds like you have some doubts...read some books on Motorcycling.

A Twist Of The Wrist 1 and 2 are great books. Then take the MSF course and see if Motorcycling is something you want to do.

The F4i is a little more forgiving, especially in the ergonomics delpartment. If you want to do a lot of cruising around...the F4i is he one..the RR will hurt both your back and *** quickly!

Hello & Welcome!! Agree...I like the positioning of the F4i better than the RR!
