Thumbs up Cbr 954 , black smoke

Hi there, new member, find this a bit daunting, bought a 2002 cbr 954 as a non runner, spent a lot of time restoring her as a repsol replica.. On her first fire up runs well for 5 seconds then starts to surge with black smoke, doesnt clear with revs, things done, head off , valves, seals and shims done, timing chain done, fuel pressure reg changed (honda) new plugs, normal air filter, oil and filter change. Noticed ecu has a sticker on side from a motor cycle shop, not known whats been done. Been a mechanic for 46 years so are okay with testing ect, also injectors dont dribble and earths are good.
Any ideas would help

Did you get brand-new factory OEM FPR from authorised Honda dealer?

1. Measure fuel-pressure in fuel rail at idle and 2500rpms, pressure1=???, pressure2=???

2. Measure vacuum at FPR hose at idle and 2500rpms, vacuum1=???, vacuum2=???

3. measure vacuum at map-sensor at idle and 2500rpms, vacuum1=???, vacuum2=???

4. Measure MAP-sensor output voltage at idle and 2500rpms, volts1=???, volts2=???

5. Measure flow-rate of each injector @ psi, cc/min1-4=???

Only thing that matters is numbers. Somewhere, some place, you can measure a number that doesn’t match up with what manual says it should be. That’s why bike’s not running properly.
