Just putting the fairing back on after major work and I have a black plastic heat guard . Have not got a clue where it goes. It must clamp in position as there are no fastener holed. It has a small rubber flap rivetted on one end.

Any help would be appreciated. As I have had the radiator and oil cooler off it may have come from that area but the Haynes manual doesnt show it.

Look online at OEM supplier, it will show where it goes. My guess is it seperates the hot air that went threw the radiator, from getting to the carbs etc. RonAyers oem supplier or cheapcycleparts.
