Default 89 f1 hurricane Hey Everyone

Hey all this is my first year riding, and I'm about 2500 miles in. Picked up a beater CBR 600 for a few hundred bucks and I love the damn thing. Has a lot of stuff swapped from later f2s and f3s and was set up as a stunt bike (bigger final drive sprockets, lighter wheels, wider back tire) and I am slowly trying to bring it back to a nice condition. I am here on cbrforum to learn and seek advice on certain mods and swaps and what not. The crowd here seems really helpful, so I hope you all can bear to deal with yet another newbie. Thanks guys.

welcome to CBRF! first things first, congrats on entering the riding brotherhood. now, what are your plans for the bike. do you want to keep the cafe/fighter style? or are you looking for something else. swaps are very easy and beneficial to do. i'd put up a build thread in the appropriate section depending on what you want to do. there's nothing wrong with keeping more modern components on the bike for sure

Thanks guys it's good to find a forum that's open minded to newcomers. I will be uploading some pics from my phone today. And this is my first bike as I said, and I only paid 600 bucks for it in drivable condition with 15k miles. Its been dropped a few times so a lot of the fairing mount areas are bent or scratched. I have yet to drop or dump it myself tho. And yeah I might keep it with just the front fairing because I like the open motor look. Watch for the pics later on.
