Hi and welcome to the forum. It goes into the upper body of the Brake Caliper and puts pressure/tension on the brake pads.

Hi! Thanks for the quick reply I figured it went somewhere in there but I don’t see a spot for it or know how it sits I can’t find a picture or video either does it like sit on the pads or is there a spot in the caliber? I installed the pads without it but worried it won’t work as well thanks!
