Default Bike Shopping

Hey girls! I'm a gearhead, but for volkswagens, have been for about 6 years now. But I'm getting bored and am about to venture into the bike world. My best friend and I are registered for a Sept 19th class to get our license So obviously I need to bike shop. I've read through some of the threads on boards about short girls and bike shopping, I'm 5'4.5, army says I'm 5'5. Guys have suggested the R6/CBR600/GSXR.

My question is, what made you decide to buy theCBR 600over the other options? What do I look for when I'm shopping for a bike? I'm trying to learn what to look for when I go bike shopping so any advice would be very helpful. I'm looking to buy one next month, thanks!![8D]

Default RE: Bike Shopping

Hey Girl.
Bike shopping should be fun try out diffrent bikes and see how they feel. I know alot of girls who have bought big bikes and they are very short they seem to have no problems with them but eveything should feel comfortable about it weight and how everything feels when you put your feet up on the pegs. If you can test drive them first. I bought a CBR 125 couldn't test drive it because they were selling as soon as they were put on the floor. I'm not sure if this was a bike for me not comfortable on where the gear shifter is and how it changes gears. I took the course a week ago and it was the best thing I ever did. I hope this helps a little.
