Default Where tappet tool

I want to check the valve clearances on my cbr 1000f 1995 model . Can anyone tell me if it's still possible to buy the tappet tools I need to adjust them or any advice on making one up

Thanks for the link but this will be my first time doing the valves on the cbr and I seen somewhere may be on here there was I think a long tool needed to get to the adjusters on the cbr 1000f .

No its not for carbs it's for the valves think it may if been a home made tool I seen somwhere

I know the tool you're thinking of, It's a socket with a bar welded to the side so you can fit an allen key down the middle of it to adjust the tappet and hold the allen key while you tighten the lock-nut.
Only ever seen it in the manual, I just use a standard spanner for the same result.

I had trouble getting a wrench in the tight space, though you could probably bend one in a vice to get the right offset. Instead I ground a couple flat spots on a deep 10mm socket to get a wrench on it, then slipped a small screwdriver down the middle. Worked a charm
