Roger Waters is doing "The Wall" concert in Auckland in Feb. Kiwi JK and our wives are going to it, bit of a long haul from Wanaka, so I'm hoping it's real good.

That's a "stick your hand in your pocket and buy a plane ticket" haul.

If you've been on Google maps to check out what sort of trip that is you should check out the photos of Wanaka. I consider myself very lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful place.

There are some seriously rich people living here that are fortunate enough to have "transported" their businesses from all over the world to here via the magic of the internet.

Me, I just do my job, for my salary and sometimes think to myself "Why does anyone need a 1400 sq m holiday home"

Yep, that's right, a 1400 sq m holiday house.

To convert to US currency multiply by 9 to get the sq. ft equivalent.

That is quite a big number isn't it?

Ah that makes sense (flying)I was wondering. As for the rest - we live in a
parallel universe - mostly secondary holiday homes around me too whose
elevated yearly real estate taxes keep the us regular year round residents
in the style and luxury we have grown to appreciate lol and it's a
great place to live beautiful beaches etc.

keeping it all on topic ......

"Great Southern Land" one of the all time classic Aussie songs.

Right up there with the song that you guys stole off the Girl Guides, oh I see that's there too.

And I must sadly confess to still owning M.C. Hammer on EP.

Picked up a kick *** old Kenwood system from the local recycle center for $40 a couple of years ago, now get to play the old vinyl again, **** it does sound good. complete with pops and scratches.

Ahh, Tubular Bells. Talk about show your age.
