You guys are talking my language. I listen to heaps of Sabbath and Zeppelin. Vol 4 has some great bluesy stuff from memory (I've only got that on an lp and my record player is f!cked).

I'm still listening to quite a bit of Motorhead, after seeing them recently. When I get in the missus car (good stereo!) I crank it right up...I'm 44! shouldn't I have stopped that by now?

Motorhead is great. Primus, Danzig come to mind, but my taste has gone bad as I've gotten older, I've been known to jam to the Ventures and even Bluegrass. I discovered a new band recently, ALO, sounds great on a good stereo.

I don't mind a bit of Bluegrass myself. I don't know enough about it to know what bands to look for though, any suggestions?

Really, I like a lot of different stuff. As long as it's good music, played by real musicians who can get up and do the same thing live, it's all sweet! I was in the missus' car on my own so I cranked Rush, Xanadu from Hemispheres right up. I had to listen to it twice, it was so good. I was a bit deaf for a while, but that's the price you pay.

And now for something a little different: the reel to reel is giving out with Floyd Cramer at the moment. Earlier Toby Keith (The Best of, Vol. Two) and the Judds (Have Mercy??) were on. Dunno what's to come, but most likely some classical.

I'm just not in the mood for loud and fast tonight. Maybe tomorrow.
