Thanks for the compliment David, I just hope there isn't any underlying problems I haven't noticed.

I expect yours will be ready for the weekend. I didn't realise the airfilter would have been a MOT failure. Best check mine when I get home.

Hopefully once they are both sorted and the weather improves we can get out on them and go for a ride somewhere. The coast would be good.

You have a safe trip home as well mate and see you soon I hope.

Don't think it is mate, there's no emissions test for motorcycles, just a basic
check to make sure it's roadworthy.

Mine passed it's MOT today. Yipeeeeeeeeee!!!

Mine is in on Friday morning for it's MOT so fingers crossed it will pass as well.

Looking forward to getting out on her again and blowing the cobwebs off. It's been a long time since I rode her any distance.

Not an MOT failure but they had the tank off for the carb balance so wouldnt MOT it, didnt want to put the tank back till they changed the filter, understandably, idle but understandable.

If I could have done the carbs myself life would have been simpler but hey ho.

Ok, first the good news, IT PASSED the MOT so I have the certificate and it's now on the road and ready to go.

The bad news is that as the bloke finished the MOT and parked my bike up I noticed the brake light didn't come on. It was the hand brake he used. It was a bit intermittent when I put the short leavers on but now it doesn't bloody work at all.

I'm hoping it's just the connections that need cleaning because I don't want to have to take the switch apart or buy a new one.

Any suggestions on what to look at and clean would be helpful please guys before I start stripping the thing down.

Chippy, the switches are cheap and take 5mins tops to change.

I wouldn't bother taking it to pieces.

Ok Hawk, if it's that easy then the search starts for a new switch.

It will have to wait for a couple of days though, the wife has me booked out for the weekend with the kids to Alton Towers today and somewhere else tomorrow and out again Monday.
