I personally am very fond of that clean shaven look. But it must have been really cold when they took that picture, what with all the goose bumps.

I wasn't gonna say anything, but what the hell.... it's funny.

My KLR650 has a luggage rack on the back. I strap stuff to it sometimes, so I have a couple of bungee straps wrapped around it all the time. You know the ones I mean.... the black rubber ones with the "S" hooks on the ends.
Well, I was out ripping around today (and having a great time, btw), when I decided to stop at a gas station and have a cup of coffee.
I finished up, and as I threw my leg up over the bike to leave, the toe of my shoe got caught on one of the exposed "S" hooks on the end of one of the straps. The toe of my shoe is mesh on top, so it got hooked REALLY good.
My momentum was already headed in the wrong direction, and I couldn't stop it or get my foot unstuck.
Down I went.... right in the middle of the crowded parking lot....
Thank god I installed those crash bars, cuz she hit pretty hard.
I looked the bike over really well, and there is absolutely NO damage at all.
There is a small scratch (about 2mmx1mm) right on the bar.... right where it should be.
At least I know the cage works!
I'd like to thank the good people at SW Motech/Twisted Throttle for some AWESOME crash bar sets. I'm glad I spent the money on these thickass german ones instead of the cheaper alternatives. They paid for themselves today in about 3seconds.
Note to self: Get rid of those goshdam straps, and ALWAYS wear your boots.
