I fiddled with the switch everything works well...Maybe they[shop] hit it ,the switch,when removing or fitting the fairing.Only now with the warmer Temperatures would you notice the need for the Fan anyway?

Try electrex - better delivery from the UK, and it's an all around better unit - big heat sink etc AND HAS A YEARS GUARANTEE - if your Honda one goes in a week, tough **** !
Also gives better charging rate - 14,5V at 1400 RPM - Honda one only starts giving current above 3000RPM.
It'll be cheaper too !!
Of course if you have to have a Honda one I have a spare, second unit.............
$75 and postage............. Knew that'd make you smile...................
Now you can get leggless on the Coopers and still fix your reg/rec, eh Rob ?
