Default Some people's children

Hi guys,

I thought I'd share a funny story for a change. Tonight on the way home I was stopped at the traffic lights when I heard someone revving the nuts off a bike. I look across and see a youngster on a Bandit egging me on to drag. I look down and see a familiar sight, an ancient 600 teapot. For the sake of all that is holy is this kid serious?!?! Ok, don't have to ask me twice. Wound up to 8000rpm, dropped my gut on the tank and launched like a man possessed. Shame, 1st gear was all it took. I sat up, popped into 2nd and coasted waiting for the screaming cloud of smoke in my mirror to catch up. When he did it was a Kodak moment. The only visible thing behind his visor were two of the biggest eyes I've ever seen. I pointed down to the CBR1000F badge on my fairing and the penny must have dropped. He snapped a left handed solute and I let him toddle off. At least one kid has been properly educated. Age isn't everything, just because your bike is newer doesn't mean you should write cheques your rev happy blender can't cash I was laughing all the way home. Some people just don't pay attention

Thanks guys

Sebastion, she is running real strong, but as with any 20+ year old bike there are and most likely will always be issues. See "Need a professional opinion"

Still overall I'm happy with her. Would love to stick her on a dyno and see what she is making with all the mods. Does anyone have a dyno readout for a stock standard bike?

Standard reading should be around 112 BHP on the rear wheel.

Isn't it a funny thing when that happens? Someone has to teach these kids to get in line. Who better to teach them then us on respected machines.
