Cool over-rated screen

got the MRA touring screen of fleabay(used)
and been riding with it full mast for about 3 weeks now

don't think the MRA touring screen is worth rating,,,

its identical to the stock screen, bar the attatchment
the attatchment should be available as a kit to drill and mount
it seens to increase engine/gear change noise,, as if to draw it up from below,, its a bit hard to explain.
does little for extra protection/ i think it actually increases turbulence

i can ride with it down and its like stock

anyone got one,and whats your opinion.???

Looks like you'd get an awful lot of air through the gap between the screen and the deflector directed straight at your face!
I'd rather have the regular flip screen .

Is it like one of these? I'm interested.

blaziken: It's interesting to compare your bought one with the one DRam recently made himself (main part of forum under "screen mod"). The main difference seems to be the lip he formed into his. It also goes around further and looks a touch wider, but works on the same principal.

It's a bummer you're not happy with it..hopefully you didn't spend too much hard earned on it. DRam's going to do a "how to" post for the rest of us who are interested in having a go..might be worth a crack I think.

I'm with Sproc. I have one on my '87 and its one piece. I like the look of the stock better but the MRA has much better wind for me. I'm 6'4" btw.

blaziken, sorry you don't like it. That sucks.

I've been looking for a different screen, too....
Not really sure what I want. I don't seem to have a big problem with the stock one, though, and I'm just over 6'2".
