Giday all . Brian is my name , from NSW in OZ .
Had a 1000F for quite a few years now , but she is slowly getting to the stage where she might just need a little work on her .

Been hanging around here for a long time now just reading and thought I might just come inside and say hi. I have a feel for the place so I am no stranger really.

Don't ask for pics, can't do atm sorry ? ... some crap about permission ??
I am sure some one will fix that when they get around to it.

Sure was easier just reading ! lol

cheers
Brian

G'day everyone, yes another Aussie here. Just bought my first hurricane, a 1989 CBR1000F and love it already. It has 55,000 km on it and tonight I took it for my first ride. A 100km jaunt up the freeway and back. In the past I have ridden dirt bikes mostly but have done many off road kilometres around and across Australia. Just last weekend I saw this 1k advertised in the local paper and just had to have it. I have loved this model for a long time and it was just meant to be. 1 day after seeing it she was mine!

Anyway just saying g'day and looking forward to learning more about this bike from you guys. Cheers.

Welcome to the forum Shaun.

The brakes can be de-linked so you'll be able to love your new love wholeheartedly!

Default Intro...

New here,I'll probably be sticking to this section so may as well intro....

I'm Irish, ride a 94 hurricane with 155,000 miles on the clock, put 140,000 there myself since I bought the bike in 2005, I work on rigs in the north sea, tour (2 up) all over Europe, have toured in the US every year for the last 8 years (HD-roadking) 50 yrs age and never drove a car in my life, and think the Hurricane is probably the best and most under-rated bike in the world...It can still knock lumps off GSXR's on the road once you have the ***** to do it... I'm currently re-building an 88 Honda NT 650 and hoping to make a cafe racer out of it...thats just a hobby...the serious stuff is the Hurricane.

Welcome headhunter!
I work in the oil industry too, in the oil fields of North Dakota.
If you ever find yourself in Montana, look me up... I'd be happy to show you around NW Montana and Glacier National Park!
