but I have a 46 tooth sprocket off a vf700f I may try just to enhance the down low rpm around town.

You'll get a helluva supprise, lowerdown the rev range but watch the wheelies................
Std is 17/42. A 15/46 will blow a gixxer into the weeds to 120 MPH but then you run out of revs. It's fun while it lasts, and the "big eyes" you get from the gixxer riders is something to see.......................

My finger tips go numb and 2.) That awful timing chain rattle when she is not warmed up.

Heavy bar ends will reduce "bar buzz"
You could also adjust your balancer to reduce engine vibration.
Put up some pics of your baby !

Hi there Mike, sorry you're not getting any joy from the general tec section, but I think you may be better off posting in the specific forum here :-

If you don't get a reply get back to us at the saloon here :-

I'd suggest looking at the wiring harness/ manual for that. I have a wiring diagram if you need one..........................

Default Hi guy's

Hi guy's still getting lost around this forum but hey i found you's didn't i. lol. I'm the proud owner of a cbr1000f and 2 cbr750 hurricanes (Just love the machines) Very comfortable and nippy to ride. The usual cam rattle does my head in but ahh well thats life. My bike is the white one. Was wondering what other engines will fit right in to the 1000f frame 87 model if anyone knows?.

Welcome again, Dugliz!
Glad you're starting to find your way around... and those are some sharp looking 'Canes, man!
As far as motor swaps, I'm not even sure. You don't hear that one much as the 1000F has a pretty good motor as it is.

Agree with you on that one Troutlett. They are a good motor. Why change what works well?

Dugliz,
If you've had a chance to see how well these things fit into the frame you'll realise what a futile question that is. If you can find another motor that goes in you should also stand a good chance of winning the lottery.
