Anyway enough - a road best not traversed
Welcome JVanDyke - imo on the 87
Discard the electric fuel pump and filter in favor of a
gravity feed, check the tank for rust and treat accordingly,
pull the carbs , clean all jets , mains & pilots - pull the pilot
needles and clean and replace orings - actually best to replace
all orings , pilot needles orings , fuel T's orings, clean and check float
valves and float valve screens, might as well replace the fuel bowl
gaskets too if they leak when reassembled - chances are they will
(helpful hint 101 - load the carbs with fuel and test for leaks before
putting back on the bike ! - no seriously ! I know this to be a smart
thing to do ! )
After that -Sebs Stick Coil Mod is a must - a license to do this can be
obtained directly from Seb - downunder

Hello to all. My name is Greg and I am a new member to this forum. I am also another Aussie and live in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. My bike is a 1987 1KF with 98K showing on the dial. Have owned the bike for quite some time now and have never had any real problem with it. Safe riding to every one and hope to see some of you on the road.

Hi lads I picked up a partially street fightered 750 Cane yesterday. Needed a little tlc but running sweet now It's mostly stock apart from having the fairings removed. Looking for some advice on changing the subframe though. Thinking about upgrading to a 1000rr tail or something similar. Anyone know if someone has tried this or any advice on doing so? I have a few ideas in mind but any advice would be greatly apreciated

Cheers Sprock!! I had seen his bike while doing a google search but couldn't find build photos. This helps me out quite abit. Trying to see If I can fabricate something to bridge the subframe to frame connection without welding or majorly altering the original frame and that messes with insurance in the UK. They dont like us to have fun here

Hi everyone. I'm new to the CB1000F world. I'm looking to add another bike to the garage. I'm here to start the process of researching and asking questions. I know that through out the course of production, these bikes went through several upgrades. I'm interested in 90-94s. Any info would be great.
