I don't doubt they're great tires, but geez.... cut it out with the space names. I'm not putting these tires on my lunar module....lol. The motorcycle community is gonna be the judge of whether or not they're good tires, not a bunch of horsechit marketing clowns.
It's the same thing with Mobil 1. It's proven to be great oil time and time again. However, their marketing is getting out of hand. Gold cap, red cap, silver cap, fricken' purple glitter cap, EP, EC, HM, AFE, SUV????
WTF? Buying oil is like goddam brain surgery.
It reminds me of when Denis Leary went on that rant about trying to find a cup of coffee flavored coffee. LOL...
"Coffee doesn't need a menu... it needs a ****ing cup, maybe a saucer".
Amen, Denis.

The longer life a tire has, the less sticky it will be on the road. The less life a tire has on the road, the better it sticks to the road. That should be all the manufacturer should have to say. "OUR tires stick to the road so you will buy more of them!" I also don't get the fact that motorcycle ridership in the USA has tripled plus in the last 10 years so the need for motorcycle tires surely has risen. Now, why the heck is a skinny motorcycle tire more expensive than a car tire?!!! The old Boss Hoss bikes had a better idea in the beginning. Boss Hoss put a car tire on the back for long wear plus they needed a big tire and the super sized rear motorcycle tires were not available.

I know what you are saying brother Trout. The SM, CF, etc stuff is all explained in this article http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Oils1.html I read it once and had a lobotomy scheduled for the next day. Lucky the neighbor wasn't home so I sent her cat in for brain surgery instead!!! Oh yah, two birds with one stone, article read and cat noises/flower bed cat crap stopped!

I was just talking about Mobil's 10 cap color designations as well as "extended performance", "high mileage", "advanced fuel economy", "regular" (which I can't seem to find anywhere), "diesel truck", "emissions protection" etc. etc.
I'd like to hear how the Avon Storm's perform. I have the Avon Azzaro's and am very happy with them. To me, performance in the dry and wet is primary. Mileage is secondary.
My 1000F is dressed up like a sport/tourer, but I use it as a 600 pound sportbike. When other riders see this huge white bike come up behind them, they must think I'm a motorcycle cop and they slow down. What fun to pass them.

Along with my CBR1000F, I have a ZX-12R. Slowpoke, here is a youtube video of the Boss Hoss vs a ZX-12R. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI_GvCl8ei8
I have ridden both (presently own the ZX). The new Boss Hoss has a motorcycle tire on back (I think it is a 240 mm wide tire). If you ever get a chance to ride one of those beasts, do it. I rode the 502 cu in (not cc, but cubic inch) Boss Hoss. OMG those things do some damage to the pavement!!! You can lay a black snake down 50 yards starting at any speed.... But, the ZX-12R is faster in a 1/4 mile run because the Hoss can't "get a grip."
I guess before my rotten **** is buried, I need to get one of those Boss Hoss. Do they turn? Heck no!!! They are not much worse than a 1500cc Goldwing fully loaded with two up riding...... They are the roll-on King of the bike world or car world since it is a 502 cu in Chevy engine.... My old 1973 Cadillac had a 502 in it.....
