I suspect you might be being deliberately provocative here Dave?, but yeah I'll have a go.

1 provocative member to suggest that the light bulb needs changing.

3 members with good intentioned and helpful suggestions.

2 members to suggest that "Saloon" isn't the best place to ask questions about light bulbs, in fact the 600 members probably know more about that kind of domestic stuff.

1 member who recalls how to replace wicks in a whale oil lamp.

5 members from Aussie & NZ who see this as yet another opportunity to mercilessly take the p1ss out of, what in the start, was a perfectly reasonable question.

1 Scandinavian to update us on weather/poetry.

3 Mods to try and keep us all on track.

1 OP to confirm that the problem wasn't actually the bulb, he had merely forgotten to turn it on.

Smile 3 maybe more

if the bulb is on the cbr then its 3 or more if you haven't changed the bulb before.

1 - post 'how do i get to the bulb?'
1 reply - through maintenance panel above front wheel
1+ remove screen, clocks, etc

1 member to post that the lightbulb needs changing

1 member to modify the lightbulb so it will also toast bread

4 members to attempt to re-jet the lightbulb

2 members to post links to parts fiches

10 members to suggest using Seafoam

1 member to request pics of the toaster mod

3 members to ask if the toaster mod will work on a Mk1

5 members from Aussie & NZ who see this as yet another opportunity to mercilessly take the p1ss out of, what in the start, was a perfectly reasonable question.

None. They're too busy on the forum to even notice the bulb is out... I'm sure the wife will take care of it anyway.

Vell, since yu vish:

Today da vind it is blowing and da cold it is not so hot.

If it is poetry you vish for, vell here some original poetry is:

It vas falling night,
Ven out vent da light.
"Uff da", said OIe and Sven,
"Da light it is out again."

Trouble it vas for sure.
Da road vas yust a blur
So dey stopped until dawn.
When da light, it came back on.

I wish to add a note: under the rules of Political Correctness any member of a group is allowed to jest about the group. I claim the right to tell Sven and Ole jokes as we can trace my father's parents lines back to the first Norwegians. Well. back to the fifteen hundreds, anyway.

On my mother's side I claim the right to tell jokes about anyone in the world.

Woof, you need another shot at climbing the electric fence for starting this one...............

And the answer is, just one, but the rest of the members have to stand around and give advice..................
