Funny how the same fish have different names in different countries - take Shad or Elf here- called Bluefish in the US and Taylor in Oz ? Or the Trevally or Kingfish as we know them.
Whatever you call them great in the pan if caught fresh, OR keep them submerged in almost frozen water in the fridge and they'll taste just as good 10 days later.

I did a fair bit (18 years) offshore fishing here - mostly for Queen Mackerel, Dorado, King Mackerel, Barracuda, sailfish, largespot queenfish, kingfish and the like.
Sold the boats and now go out occasionally with a Magistrate mate who has a 21 footer. Nice to not have to worry about all the maintenance

Hey Trout is that a self portrait ?(or have you been bullying the largemouth Bass again )

Nice fish 'Trout. I'd love to be able to fish on the way home.

A cup of coffee early Sunday morning, then a short walk down to the lake yielded a nice little brunch for me and Mrs.Woof
