I got the heated jacket yesterday.

It's way lighter than I expected it to be. I thought it would be bulky and heavy (think "old electric blanket") but it's not at all. Not too much heavier than a regular liner would be.

The book says the "high" setting is almost 170F (77C)!! Jeez, that's hot!
I'm looking forward to testing it out.

 

How many watts does it draw?

 

It draws 76w max, I believe. Should be able to handle it, I would think.
I suppose we'll see...

Just don't forget to unplug yourself when you get off. Can't zap you off 12v DC..pitty though, I'd be good to see.

I accidentally set a keg of beer down atop a car battery once . . . the keg started rumbling. I didn't leave it there to see what would happen.

I'd like to put heated grips on my F1, I don't think the charging system is very powerful on those old girls but the integrated tail and led front signals probably save more than the 20 watts or so the grips would use.

I arc welded a cold air intake to the hood of my civic once. It melted all kinds of chit. Fried my distributor cap and rotor, too.

I don't think you'd have any problem with grips pulling too much, btw....
