Default Winterizing

Wondering the best/easiest way to winterize my 1kF? It will be stored inside a non-heated garage for the winter in Chicago. But the garage will never get below 35 degrees.
Any feedback would be appreciated?

Pull the battery take it inside and on a trickle charger. Check coolant ....probably flush
and put 50/50 mix in (s'what I need here in Maine even inside my garage it gets to
low 20's F !). put bike on center stand .....block up so both tires off the floor.
Oh yeah nearly forgot ......don't forget fuel stabilizer if you are leaving gas /petrol
in it.........if not drain all gas from tank and carbs
Throw a tarp/cover over it .......then have a few beers .......y'll be seeing her in March / April

one other thing if your garage is a dirt floor and not poured concrete then pull the
air filter and put a few bags moisture absorber in there to soak up any moisture
in the air..........one of my garages is damper than others (3)and I do this with
outboard motors small engine stuff etc I store in that one for the winter.
Keep my bike in the driest one though

Thumbs up

I store mine with the gas tank full of gas and stabilizer. I personally believe that it keeps water off the walls of the tank.

I do the same thing, Indy... tank full with stabilizer. I also just hook the battery up to the tender in the bike.
That's really all I do. I take her out several times in the winter and ride her, though. Prolly even more riding this year with the heated jacket....

I was thinking about just using seafoam as a stabilizer this year, too. It says it's good for that. Normally I use "stabil".
