Default Rear brake mod for an 89 CBR 1000F

Hi All,
Just a quick post to let anyone who has an `89 era CBR 1000 f that if Your rear calliper seizes as mine did and you are unable to get an `89 replacement You can use the rear calliper off a `96/97 model by just swapping out the `89 disc for a `96/97 one,
just finished the mod on my `89 and it`s working a dream
Regards Mike

Hey:

Or you could of swapped just the caliper out for one from a VFR750F, (more popular for years sold) or any number of other Honda bikes with the same rear caliper, this is where Ebay is your friend.
