Hey everybody first time post, first time motorcycle mechanic first motorcycle. Anyway I was givin a 1995 CBR 600 F3. I am new to the bike world but i am an auto tech with too much experience to mention. The bike itself has a rattle on idle. Now i have read that the chain tensioner should be replaced with manual one. I did that rattle is still there. Then i replaced timing chain and guides. Then i adjusted the valves with almost no gap on most valves. I have them in specs started it and the rattle is still there. Does anybody know what i might be missing that could cause this "Death Rattle"? Thanks in advance.

 

Hi and welcome to the forum. I think I'd use a mechanics stethoscope to try to better locate exactly where the rattle sound is coming from. It seems like you've replaced the common things that cause a noise.

 

Heh, heh... Had this on my 1st RR back in 2010.. Did everything possible, was even contemplating new engine... Turned out it was... Extra KEYS on keychain rattling on top fork-clamp!!!
