having a family with kids and giving the ultimate sacrifice= HERO... my prayers go out to his familly . Im proud to have known several soldiers that have not returned and it's sting does not go away. but to hardcorp8654 , wherever you are , sir i salute you, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

 

I don't come on here much since my bike was stolen, but this really hits hard.

Reading his posts, I came to recognize his unique perspective, and idiosyncratic way of expressing it.

But most of all, his intense determination to do the right thing came through loud and clear. You just knew that he wouldn't rest, and couldn't live with himself, if he didn't do everything in his power to help, any way he could.

Whenever I find myself tempted to take the easy way out, I'll try to ask myself What Would Hardcorps Do, and if he would do it, then how can I do less?

May God's grace and peace shower you and your family. Just from what I've read, it sounds like he found his purpose in life. He obviously affected those around him in a way that made a real difference. I'm truly sorry you had to lose him in this way.

Hello, I am Hardcorp brother-in-law end swt poet brother. I have spent most of the last week reading most of their stuff. It seems like some of it has been deleted or is missing, but I do understand, because a lot of what he talks about. I remember happening like that guy that was choking and he saved his life or his wrecked with my sister on blood Mountain and the 400 mile ride at 100 mph plus, in the hurricane I see he shared a lot with you people. I would like to share some of my thoughts with you

Tim was my neighbor, my friend, my brother-in-law, really my brother and as he often said about himself to others a mentor. He was the type of person that would rough you up if he thought you were doing something wrong, but in the same breath give you everything he had including the shirt off his back or the last dollar out of his wallet if he thought you needed it.. Heck him and my sister at the holidays last year let the local USO know, if there were any stranded military people who couldn't get home they would be glad to have them for the holidays, no matter how many it was. He was also the biggest Christmas sponsor I ever met for the needy He was always volunteering at a couple of charities. I had the opportunity a couple of years ago to go with him and a good friend, who has been on Oprah for his work with the Make-A-Wish foundation. I went with Rob Smith and Tim who took some cancer kids out Deep sea fishing and diving. Tim was still recovering himself from some injuries. Never did hear him complain of being in pain. He always had time to listen to you about your problems and worked hard to understand your side of things, and always offered good advice, but I never heard him speak of his problems or of his pain from physical injuries, which he did have to deal with. He had steel plates in his arms and shoulder blades and had lost all of his hearing in his left ear and part of his eyesight from brain surgery. Also suffered with a bad knee and constant migraines along with insomnia but I never heard him complain, because he was the type of man that would climb up and over anything the world threw at him and he never had a problem with putting himself in danger to help others. He was amazing to be around. Some of the things that would happen would leave you shaking your head as to how it could have went that away, It was nothing to hear that he had been injured or lost off the face of the earth for a couple of days. He was the type of man that you knew was going to show up with a grin on his face and always just so matter-of-factly, this is what happen. Remember him telling the story about being stabbed and seen the scar on his chest, realizing it was serious, but the way he told it. You were just laughing so hard you were almost crying and on the rare occasion when you had the chance to meet with those he worked with, they would repeat the same story. It would leave you shaking your head in amazement. He used to have a little speech, which Jules put up about leaving a impression on the world or the people you meet, which he more than lived up to. I have never met anyone who had accomplished as much in the things they enjoyed as he did or for the things he felt was necessary . The only man I knew who was willing to accept responsibility for everything they did and For those he felt responsible for. I heard him say this more than one time, that was my fault they worked for me or I train them, so it's my responsibility. If I could speak to him one more time, I would tell him how important he was to those of us who knew him and loved him and what a large impact he did have on all of us

You are right, there are no words. I can't think of anything to say to make this less difficult--except a few of Tim's own words, from a few weeks ago:

I've lost those who surround me more times than I'd like to recount all of them affected us in one way or another. I could recount several from a sterile environment. Those encountered outside the civilian world are probably the most difficult to deal with.. The second battle of Fallujah I happened upon a critically wounded young girl. I didn't speak her language, but the look of fear is universal. The inability to comfort her verbally will always be something I will regret and I've had the misfortune to hold a young marine in my arms and watched the last fleeing moments of life, leaving his body and the whole time reassuring him. He was going to be just fine. I suppose it depends on how you look at that, as to whether it was the truth or not. And of course not having the time to grieve, placing him on the ground and reassuring those around myself that I had things completely under control and they were going to survive that day to recall his memory. Things like this will be hard to deal with always regardless of who you are. As long as we hold those who have touched our lives, in a profound manner close in our memories. They will live on and are never far away.

and special reflective moment of his life and commitment humanity.

 

Thank you for sharing them with us. Many of us are members of both forums, but for those who aren't the words may give them new insight into why Tim was such a well liked man, with his own way of putting things..........
Even here, he was able to resolve issues just by the way he wrote things !

I'm late as usual. I had only a few chats with Hardcorp. Great bloke who stood up for his beliefs. His morals were only for the good of others. A loving husband & father cut down in his prime. My family & I send our deepest condolences to all his family. Rest in peace. I'm proud to call you a two wheeled brother.
