yet another oil question...
Gotta throw this here as I've been meaning to check this for probly a month but never remember when I get home from work.
So, some time ago my truck started asking for an oil fill so I went to my parts dealer and was surprised that if I would have bought the four litre bottles I needed it would actually have cost me slightly more than the 20L jug I ended up buying. I poured the needed bit over four litres into the engine and am now sitting on sixteen litres of oil I have no immediate use. There has been an endless debate of some heavy machinery oils being used in motorbikes, but even though we have Shell stations here for some reason we do not have the Rotella product family available. I remember reading from somewhere that I should look for a triangular symbol to find out if the oil has friction modifiers but it is no where in sight so if there is anyone that can decipher the cryptic markings for me I would appreciate it. So the obvious question is can I use this oil in my bikes?
