For me, I would rather sell them and have the money now and put it to something else I needed. They really aren't going to do you any good just sitting there. Even if you do end up needing them later on, it won't be hard to locate a used set. Then all that happens is the money you got from selling yours will be used towards buying a used one. But you stand a good chance of making out better if you don't ever need them.
The other factor is, the older your bike gets, the cheaper used rear sets will become. So, you can get more for yours now than what it will cost you to replace them a few years from if you ever had to. But, if you like your new ones, I doubt you will want to go back to a stock set anyway.
Of course, there is always the person who wants to turn their bike back to stock when they sell it. If that is something you want to do, then I'd say keep them for that purpose. But I wouldn't keep them just in case you need them.
So I say sell em.
