hey people,

I recently purchased a bike that came with integraded tail lights, the license plate has been mounted down under the exhaust, but the problem is, it doesnt have any lights on it. Ihave acouple small led's that i want to mount along the top of the plate but i dont know where to wire them into??? im guessing i would just splice them into another wire somewhere?? if this is the case does anyone know what wires i should tap into and where i would find them???

yeah there are 3 wires that come off the main white connector on the 07 CBR and go straight to the tail light. The black wire will be ground, the black/yellow stripe wire is the brake light and the black/white stripe wire is the running light. You want to connect it to the running light.

there should be a license plate light to tap though....at least on the f4i there is....

 

its a 2003 cbr 600rr if that helps.. would that black and white wire your talking about be the same colour on the 03's?

 

I have no clue. But you really can't screw anything up. If you accidentally connect it to the brake light the LED lights will only come on when you apply the brakes.


If the integrated tail light you have is the Clear Alternatives light then red = running light wire and green = brake light wire.
