Will the CA carb work..f2...or switch carbs?
Need help. Replaced my 94 CA F2 with a new 49 state engine and cdi. Trying to get it started now and it just cranks and cranks. I do have spark. Is it the carb? I tryed blocking and routing all the extra holes in the carb, but i get the feeling I may just need to get a new 49 state carb.
well, if you have spark..... twist the throtle all the way and spray carbcleaner in all 4! (while they are open.lol) itl fire right up! if its not running right now the way it is, its most likely not going to keep runing once its fired up... this means that you have a carb issue and everything else is fine!
oh ya why do they call it 49 state carb/motor? what state is it not legal in??? lol..

Other than extra emissions stuff, the valve timing is different, which is why I got the 49 state cdi to match. Tha only difference with the carb as far as I know is the main jet is a 132 instead of 135. This is why I'm baffled. I tryed opening the throttle all the way when cranking, but I guess I could give it more and try.
ya, i would spray some starting fluide or carb cleaner in the carbs if your getting spark and the timeing is right that would FOR SURE fire it up! let me know what happens!
