why wont it start
i have a 2002 cbr f4i it was recently in an accident but no major damage it sat for about a month and now it wont start it cranks and cranks and cranks but nothing. is there something im missing?? any suggestions as to what i can do or check for problems.. someone said the wireing box is faultly but thats 900.00 dollars that i dont want to spend and then be wrong.. any one have any real ideas???
My BRAND NEW 2006 CBR (back in June) didn't start one morning. It just cranked and cranked. Nothing. I started rolling the throttle while cranking and it started up and sputtered for a while, then idled fine again. NO IDEA what the hell it was, but it hasn't done it since.
Actually, I don't even know if rolling the throttle helped at all (usually doesn't for fuel-injected cars, I would think the same would apply here too, hmm.)
I could also be bad gas, (which I'm thinking mine problem was also). I got gas at this wierd gas station the night before I let it sit overnight. The gas station actually flooded the night before (so I found out after I filled up). I'm thinking that crap got in the gas and when it sat there, all the dirt dropped to the bottom, strangling or clogging something.
Maybe that's what you have too. Usually gas is only good for about a month when it sits like that. Then it starts to go bad. Try shaking your bike and getting the gas shaken up, then start it again, if not, you'll know you at least tried that.
Not much help, but something though. Hope it helps out with your problem.
