Angry Why Me!!! Temp!!

I was out working on my bike left the bike on, not running but on all lights going and came inside to read a few threads about LED's and went back out tried to start the bike and battery was dead! jumped it off with my truck and now my temp gauge reads 100 more degrees than it should it said it was 198 degrees idleing when i got it to crank and let run for a couple minutes so i went for a ride to recharge the battery and sitting at a redlight it read 204 degrees how do i fix this?

Not sure the problem cause if any of my bikes ran at 104 I'd be looking for new temp sensors.

Basically what I'm saying is these sound like normal temps, especially in traffic or stopping at a lot of lights. If i left my BMW idling for 10 minutes, the temp would be at about 220. Same with my F4i

What bike do you have? I'm strongly suspecting
  1. it has a digital temp gauge
  2. it was reporting temp in celcius before and farenheight now

It must be reading farenheit. Switch it back to celcius if you want it to read like it was. Your temp is fine.

Either that or it was buggy to begin with and the dead battery and jump start reset it.
