Hay guys i have a 03 f4i, i just got a oil change and had them check everything out about 2months ago (no probs) bike has 4,000 miles on her.. Question is, the heat is here and i'm in DALLAS and it does get really hot here and the bike temp seems to get hot pretty quick on a stop and go bases it gets up to about 225-230 degrees really fast. The fan does kick on but is this normal? And what is the norm? What temp on the bike is too hot not sure? On the freeway the temp does go back down, too 185 degrees fyi.... Can anyone help out? Should i worry? How hot is too hot?...

sounds like normal temps. mine will hover around there in stop&go as well.

Temps are normal.

Do a little more searching here and you'll find SEVERAL threads discussing this same issue.
