Performance EFI Intake Speed Chip Module

As the title says: What is this thing and what does it really do to the engine? The item description is extremely vague and rather confusing.
Most importantly: does it really work or is it a gimmick?

Does anyone have experience with such an item?

Thanks!

If it's the same as one of those BS Intake Air Temp chips they sell the auto tuner crowd, it is a resistor that fakes the computer (that your F3 doesn't have) into thinking the air is a little cooler than it really is. then it bumps the timing (that your bike can't adjust) and tricks the fuel injection computer into putting a little richer mixture out. (That doesn't exist on carbed bike)
