I stopped being picky about oil, once i read this article about a guy with a 1996 cbr 900 with 150 thousand miles and all he used was castrol GTX car oilat 2 bucks a quart, they are all good, as long as they meet what your owners manual specs, if you are spending more than 10 bucks for some motul or belray crap you are an idiot in my not humble at all opinion. What do you really know about what yourbike likes as an oil, they are all good, by the time you move to your next bike the wear and tear is absolutely insignificant,There's nothing wrong with car oil for your bike.

What oil to use doesn't really matter a whole lot. Just make sure it is for wet clutch motorcycles. Change the oil and filter every 2,000 - 3,000 miles and the engine will outlast the rest of the bike, so long as the rider isn't abusing it.

Buuuut most of the synthetic oils marked "full synthetic" are actually a very highly refined dino oil.

You can also get about 10 cans of WD40 and spray them fully inside your engine,I would recommend you use the little red straw for this procedure to be easier, and don't forget to check the level afterwards.

Definitely not a good decision. I have run many brands... Honda G4, amsoil, belray, motorex, maxima, and now I'm running a semi-synthetic Golden spectro 10/40.

on a couple times, when in a jam, I used car oil and it sucked *** for the clutch and made the bike run hotter.

For my CBR1KF, 929, and 954, they like stock weight and semi sythetic. I won't buy full synthetic because I religiously change the oil at the first signs of it being dirty. My mowers, wheelers, etc.. all get good oil changes from the used oil.

ORIGINAL: CBRclassic

Anyone found a brand that helps shut the little rattles up a bit better than others ?

I was just going try good old Castrol GTX 25/50 the latest version for high power engines sound good when you read the bottle :-)

anyone tried it here ??
