Default Washing your baby

I just bought my first bike and today while riding I got caught in a couple of isolated showers. When I finally got home "Mariah" was filthy *****. I pretty new at this and kinda hesitant about taking a hose to her. Could I get some tips on how to wash her and what are some good products to buy. What is your whole wash routine? I do know not to put $hit on the tires. Thanks, much appreciated.

I've used a quick spray of Brake Cleaner on hard tar and bug guts. Wipe immediately then dilute with water. Honda Polish afterwards if you got some.

No melts with that or Carb cleaner. Don't let it sit....spray, wipe (or scrub), water.

Check the "this and that" section under detailing. You'll find a lot of info there.
