Default Vortex frame slider help

Hey guys

I'm having trouble with my vortex frame sliders. I'm changing out my old sliders so the wholes are already cut. When I finished installing them I noticed that the right side slider comes out a noticable length more than the left side. I'm not sure wats going on. The base on the left side goes farther into the bike that the right side..

for some reason I think I got a wacked out pair of sliders.

you could have swapped sides in error ...

also make sure you support the engin when doing it as its a great way to avoid cross threading bolts

thanks for the reply...what does it mean to support the engine?

both bases are the same size so I don't think its a side thing.

support the engine, i.e. put a jack under the motor and jack it up untill it (the jack pad) makes contact with the motor then pump it just a LITTLE bit more, you dont wanna lift it at all just relieve the pressure. So the bolts as you thread them in dont have any stress on them because the motor will drop slightly then the holes wont quite line up right. If you have to put any force on them to get the threads started STOP and adjust the jack so the holes line up perfectly. As for the length, are you sure the "longer" one is seated in the hole all the way? Or is there anything in the hole, like leftovers from the last slider.

it doesn't take any force to tighten it so I don't think I'm cross threading or anything.

I'mma take it back apart tomorrow and check it out. Hole is clean and everything lines up..weird
