valve or cct

at start up..bike is a little smoky ,whiteish color(doesnt always smoke) and has loud rattling sound from engine(even after warming up) apply a little throttle and the rattling goes away....95 f3 23,000 miles.....thx

I'd have to guess CCT.

Increase in RPM causes tension on cam chain so that would be why noise goes away. Idle is the main time the CCT is used ... to add tension to the cam chain
