Default Valve Adjustment

Is valve adjustment on a cbr600 f3 expensive to have done by a shop? Is it difficult to do on your own? Any suggestions?

Its not cheap, but since its only done every 24000klm (12000mls), it works out pretty reasonable. You can do it yourself, but you need to remove the camshafts to remove & replace the shims. Plus once you measure the clearances, have a way to get the replacements from the shop, so alternative transport is needed for that. Bike has to be stone cold before you take the clearances.
I get mine done by the shop, but I am a lazy bastard.

You might not even need a valve job, check out your lash first. I have checked my bike out many times and there is only one valve out of spec by just .001 which = not worth adjusting yet.
