Question *UPDATE* Unusual Clutch Wear

I tore apart my clutch today on my 02 F4i and I noticed what I consider to be abnormal wear on the clutch basket. I can see some wear on the teeth of the basket that keep the clutch discs indexed but I also saw some of the same wear on the inside area of the clutch spindle where there are no discs. I will post pictures tomorrow but in the mean time has anyone had any similar problems and is it a major issue? The bike only has a hard 10k on it, so I am hoping that the basket does not need to be replaced.

Although its hard to tell from a photo, it looks like normal wear to me. The marks on the inside of the hub are from the springs. As they compress and extend, they rub on the hub. Nothing looks out of the ordinary or damaged at all to me.

Looks fine to me. Our mx bikes have an aluminum basket that generally last one season. They will get significantly notched vs the shiny spots shown in your pictures. When it gets notched, the clutch discs don't float in and out from loaded to unloaded as well resulting in a chattering clutch when engaging.
