I just bought my 01 F4i. Whenever I turn the turning signal on to the left the right side comes on and vice versa with the other side. The rear signals blink like normal but the front ones only light up and do not blink.

Also sometimes when I ride the turn signals will just randoms start blinking sometimes on the left side and sometimes on the right. I have to move the switch back and they will cut off.

The signals that are on there are aftermarket LED.

What could be the problem?

 

Sounds like incompetent wiring installation of aftermarket equipment.

This is a huge safety consideration that needs to be rectified ASAP b/f you do any more riding!

Take the L & R lower fairings off & re-wire the front turn signals. Use connectors btwn wires to insure proper wire contact.

Re-wire the rear signals as well.

Its not rocket-science. Just get in there & re-wire them asap, & confirm proper operation b/f getting back on the road.

 

also - you know you can push your blinker button straight in instead of having to move it back the other direction to turn a blinker off.

 

Yeah that might have been the continuously blinking issue lol.
