Default Transmission noise ... clutch ?

Whenever I have the clutch engaged the noise/shaking goes away. As soon as I release the clutch in Neutral, bike starts to shake a little bit and i can hear some noise coming from the engine area. not exactly like metal inside but almost like a rough idle ... I figure its in the clutch assembly but not sure ...

anyone know what I can start to look for or take apart to see what is wrong?

Did it just start doing it? Or has it always done it?

Normal would be a slight feel and slight audible noise. If its really loud or vibrates considerably, you might have an issue. The best thing to do is listen to another bike. You can always go to a dealership and ask if one of the mechanics can take a quick listen to it. Im not sure how the dealers are around where you live, but around here, most of the time one will listen to it and that way you'll know for sure.

My F3 does what justasquid is saying. Noticable, but slight. Nothing scary. Like the "tone" of the engine noise will lower a bit. Is that what yours is doing?

My '05 F4i does this... I told my mechanic about it and he didn't seemed overly concerned.

My bike does the same thing. It is noticeable, but I think it is just how all bikes are.
