Default tranny/clutch slipping.

So I was out riding last night and my bike started acting up.

So I shift into second (all gears have this problem) apply some throttle start picking up speed a bit. But if I really crank er the RPM's sky rocket and the bike doesn't pick up speed. Eventually if I release throttle a wee bit she will start gradually speeding up but it doesn't seem very good.

If its on all the gears could it be a cutch thing?

Definetely sounds like a slipping clutch.

Clutch is slipping, assuming the clutch isn't very badly adjusted then it is almost certainly knackered clutch plates.

So....

Check clutch adjustment and lever free play. Replace clutch plates. Check the steels for bluing and replace if required. Measure clutch springs and replace if out of spec.

Well the issue has become less apparent now. After researching some ****. I tossed some synthetic 5w20 in there some sources are saying due to the wet clutch and the different oil it might be causing addition slippage. So I'm gonna try and service her this weekend.

Ah, friction modifiers in car oils can apparently interfere with wet clutches. I use car oil, but specifically choose oils without the friction modifiers. Stuff like Castrol GTX is ok.
